DEVOLVE more powers to the “regions” is the message from Andy Burnham MP. This only issue with that idea is that there are no “regions” in Scotland. Considering the devolved election results in Scotland and Wales this year, where Labour lost Wales for the first time in more than a century and the SNP were returned for a fifth term, I wonder if Mr Burnham had a discussion with his Labour colleagues in Wales and Scotland before his speech on Monday?

I HAVE been subjected, as have the rest of us, to the great Burnham waffle fest of his vision of how he would like his premiership to play out.

I would like to find a name for this phenomenon. As in the US they say TACO (Trump Always Chickens Out), how about KABAB (Krazy Andy Burnham Always Blethering)?
