THE outcome of Thursday’s two by-elections resulting from the selfish re-location of two SNP MPs from London to Edinburgh has ended up with a reduction from nine to eight in the size of the Westminster SNP group. That result has been achieved at a cost of presumably many thousands of pounds drained from SNP funds, and many thousands of wasted hours of SNP activists’ time and effort.
Please forgive me if I think this was not a great example of a wise political strategy.

FOLLOWING the SNP’s loss in the Aberdeen South by-election, Stephen Flynn vowed that the SNP would win the seat back from the Tories.
Presumably this would be at the next UK General Election in 2029. This rather assumes there will be no independence referendum before then. Perhaps Stephen could confirm this belief.
