IN Sunday’s papers Humza Yousaf proposes regional assemblies and organisers to raise effort towards independence.

To me, this seems like another way to kick independence further down the road and be seen doing something while achieving nothing. Nothing but a few more years supping at the gravy train of the independence movement, without any visible progress.

This attitude, along with that of Alyn Smith and Stewart McDonald, seems to be sometime, maybe, for independence, with no urgency even hinted at.

Someone should remind them what the SNP was founded for – not independence for it’s own sake, but a better Scotland for all.
