HOW very generous of Sir Keir Starmer to say that, following the resignation of Liz Truss as Prime Minister, the public should have its say via a General Election.

Yet despite the Scottish people having their say in every major election in Scotland since 2015 – and voting for the SNP and their policy of a second independence referendum – Starmer and his BritNat pals in the main UK political parties are ignoring the democratic wishes of Scotland and denying us that referendum.

Maybe Starmer should be clear and explain that it’s only the English voters he respects as he continues to ignore Scotland’s votes and our democratic demand for a referendum.

I wonder how Starmer would feel if Labour won the next General Election but the Tories refused to hand over the reins of power – would he accept that? So why should Scotland accept the democracy-denying policies of Starmer and his colleagues in the British Labour, Tory and LibDem parties?
