Has some group in Westminster asked the BBC to try to create yet another diversion on Scottish independence by initiating a debate regarding the situation with colonies seeking independence that led to the 1960s UN resolution, compared to the current position of Scotland? The Unionists must be grasping for any kind of straw if they think that the Scottish Government will be unable to raise Scotland’s right to self-determination at the UN because the United Kingdom is a voluntary union between the countries of Scotland and England so Scotland cannot be a colony.
