OUR Scottish representation on the airwaves seems to be ticking upwards all of a sudden – but in a very one-sided way as far as I have seen. Is this what we are to be subjected to now – a parade of poor-show-for-Scotland politicos regularly installed in the UK studios?

Recently Jo Swinson has had a lot of coverage because of her LibDem leadership bid and so she has freely pontificated on Scottish affairs.

Last week we had Ruth Davidson in an interview on BBC Newsnight (smug and smirking) and this week we’ve had Conservative MP Stephen Kerr on Sky’s All-Out-Politics panel and Conservative MP Ross Thomson on the BBC Politics Live panel, followed next day by a Ruth Davidson article up for discussion on Sky’s All-Out-Politics.

This, plus Jeremy Vine etc etc, makes it seem that all-out efforts are under way to seize the airwaves in service of the precious Union – propaganda with a capital P.
