IS there anyone out there who thinks that the court summons for Boris Johnson is anything other than dirty tricks from an already corrupt Westminster establishment (Johnson set to get his day in court – but he may not like it, May 30)?

I seriously hope that I am wrong, because we would then see Gove, Farage, etc standing next to him.

AND ... if this is a taste of things to come, then we can expect to see Gordon Brown, Alistair Darling, Liam Fox etc also in the dock for the lies told during the 2014 referendum here in Scotland.

Where are the 13 frigates and three support vessels, the 3500 HMRC jobs saved, the halting of bank and finance jobs going south, federalism, etc etc etc?

If Boris is to be held accountable for the lies of a politician, then England is going to have a seriously overloaded court system for the foreseeable future.
