THOUGH Yes groups are holding more face-to-face events, Zoom meetings are still being held across the country and are proving a vital link between activists everywhere.

For instance, Yes Linton in the Scottish Borders has issued an open invitation for its special Zoom event being held next Thursday, November 4, from 7.15pm to 9.15pm.

The guest speaker at this online meeting will be Janet Fenton, vice-chair of Scottish CND, who is expected to talk about the inter-related risk from nuclear weapons and climate change, and how Scotland can be a good global citizen.

Yes Linton convener Laura Robertson said: “This meeting is open to everyone, of all political persuasions and none. Please spread the word to your friends to ensure a good audience for this very topical talk.

“We will open the Zoom meeting at 7.15 pm for chat and catch-up, but Janet’s talk will begin at 7.30pm.

“Please put questions for Janet in the Zoom app chat box or send them in advance by email.”
