WE don’t know who your “party insider” is who dislikes Maggie Chapman so much, but it is important to set the record straight (Six things we’ve learned from the Scottish results, May 28).
In the selection race of 15 candidates Maggie Chapman received around half the first-preference votes, three times more than her nearest rival. She has led the party’s European list of candidates before and was members’ clear choice to head this list again.
It’s never good for a political party when anonymous “insiders” start publicly criticising their members’ choices, as other parties have found out to their cost.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
