FAR right figurehead Tommy Robinson has demanded a second European Parliament vote in a topless video posted from his bed after he lost his £5000 deposit.

The English Defence League founder, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, faced jeers at the count in Manchester after securing just 2.2% of the vote. However, he wasn’t around to see that as he walked out of the venue before the result was declared, staying less than an hour.

On Sunday night, he blamed government “interference” and social media bans for curtailing his support.

And, in footage posted on the Telegram private messaging app, he said: “I don’t accept the result of the election. I want a second vote.”

The 29 seat win by Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party came at the expense of his previous outfit Ukip, which was wiped out.

“Nazi pug” blogger Mark Meechan, who goes by the name Count Dankula online, was amongst the party’s candidates in Scotland. Yesterday he laughed off the loss, tweeting: “I was 4th in the list, in UKIP, in Scotland. I knew from day one I wasn’t going to win which is why I joked about it so much.”

Fellow YouTuber Carl Benjamin, who uses the name Sargon of Akkad for his videos and made rape jokes about Labour MP Jess Phillips, was another loss for the party.

Katie Fanning, a Ukip director and national executive committee member, told The Guardian newspaper that controversy had contributed to the party’s wipe-out. In comments made before the result was declare, she stated: “People have lost confidence in us as being the primary party of Brexit.

“I believe that’s because Ukip’s EU campaign has been overshadowed by Sargon of Akkad’s disgusting comments and rape jokes and things he has said in the past. That’s very much marred Ukip’s reputation.”
