TOO big! (Police say Glasgow All Under One Banner march will be too big, April 19). If that’s an indication of an increasing support for independence then that’s good news, but not a good one for the Scottish Police force as a whole.

They are perfectly capable of dealing with local and international football matches, dealt capably with the estimated 50,000 that attended last year’s Glasgow March, and more than well enough with the estimated 100,000 attendees at the Edinburgh march too, so how are they not able to do so now?

It surely can’t be because of potential trouble as there hasn’t been any as far as I’ve seen, apart from the very small Unionist group.
