MUCH is being written about the new BBC channel for Scotland and how it will be modernised and updated due to the average watcher in Scotland being 61.

This all very fine and good, but it’s not the colour of the set or if people are sitting or standing, it’s the content that’s important. I fear it will be the same old people with the same old content with bells on it.

Although no real polling has been done on independence I think it’s safe to assume pro-indy is still around 45% or maybe slightly higher.

Unfortunately, other than this paper, no newspaper or broadcaster reflects the views of this 45% so in actual fact the BBC and others have picked a side, which makes their claims of impartiality complete nonsense. I do not think the new channel will reduce this imbalance – it will only entrench them in their position.

The BBC takes my licence fee every year but does not even remotely reflect me or the others in the 45% in any measure.

Like many, I am sick of the media in this country and their open hostility to almost half the voting population of Scotland.
