The National:

EVERYBODY knows how much Labour love Scotland, right? After all, just look at this lovely new piece of campaigning material.

It promises that Keir Starmer’s party offers change in the face of “Tory economic chaos” and to fight against supposed SNP tax rises.

“We have changed the Labour Party so that it is back on the side of working people,” it says.

The National:

As the old saying goes though, always remember to read the small print. For Labour are so committed to Scotland that they’ve decided to print this letter… in Wales.

Looking closely at the bottom of the letter, it seems to have been printed by A McLay & Company Ltd, Longwood Drive, Forest Farm, Cardiff.

The Jouker isn’t sure about you, but it seems odd that a letter seemingly promising so much for “Scotland’s Future” couldn’t even be printed here.

The letter goes on to claim that “the SNP and the Tories don’t want change” and that we are all supposed to be roped into believing that the current climate is “as good as it gets”.

Even better though, the letter says Labour will put an end to “empty promises from two failing governments”.

Right enough, Keir Starmer has never U-turned on anything these past few months so who could possibly argue with such logic.

Fair play though, the letter does get one thing right and it even manages to do so in its first line which reads: “As a General Election approaches this year it couldn’t be clearer that Scotland and the UK are crying out for change.”

We are indeed crying out for a new future, but The Jouker isn’t sure it’s the one being promised in this letter.
