Greece have been rocked ahead of Scotland's crunch World Cup clash with them after reports revealed their FA made an approach to former Juventus boss Thiago Motta.
Serbian boss Ivan Jovanovic was handed a vote of confidence by the Greek association despite a hugely disappointing World Cup campaign that saw them eliminated with two games still to play.
One of those is tomorrow against a Scotland side who need to avoid defeat to take it to a final shoot-out with Denmark at Hampden.
But reports in Greece have suggested a secret approach was made to former Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and PSG star Motta last week.
Motta was sacked by Juventus in March this year and the former Bologna boss has been without a job since.
However, Motta - who was capped by both Brazil and Italy - made it clear he had no interest in becoming an international manager.

Jovanovic was assured of his future last month by the Greek FA's chief, Makis Gagatsis, despite defeats in Scotland and Denmark, which eliminated them.
He said: "We agreed to hand Ivan a new contract and he now has a contract until 2028.
"There was no thought of stopping our cooperation and we all support the manager and our players. Together we will succeed."
