Rangers' new prospective signing is the 'left-sided' version of James Tavernier.
Speaking to the Scottish Sun, Ally Reynolds believes Jefte will be exactly like Tav but on the opposite full-back position.
The Scot has come up against the Brazilian defender this season in Cyprus, with the AE Zakakiou player coming up against the Apoel player twice.
Rangers and Philippe Clement are edging closer to signing the defender - who is on loan from Fluminense.
And Gers-daft Reynolds said: “We played Apoel twice this season and Jefte has been what I’d consider a stand-out for them both times.
“I saw the interest from Rangers in January and I immediately texted my dad as we’re both massive Rangers fans.
“He asked what Jefte was like and I told him he was exactly the same as Tav but on the other side. He’s a very good attacking full-back.
“Offensively, he’s terrific. He bombs forward and can dribble past people, whip in crosses early or hit the byeline.
“In one of the games earlier in the season, against AEL, he scored a worldie — a cross from almost on the touchline that sailed in over the keeper’s head.
“But, I suppose a bit like Tav, there are maybe suspicions about him defensively.
“I’m not sure how he’d do in Scotland where it’s a bit more physical than Cyprus.
“But going forward, in a team like Rangers with lots of possession, he’d fit right in. If he went there and did well, I’m sure the fans would take to him quickly.”

Meanwhile, Atalanta were runaway winners on Wednesday night as they cruised to Europa League glory in Dublin.
Former Celtic favourite Jeremie Frimpong was left dejected after Bayer Leverkusen were put to the sword as Ademola Lookman scored a hattrick for the Italians.
The final ended 3-0 to the Serie A team, who, as a result, not only enjoyed the glory of lifting silverware but also booked their slot in next season's Champions League.
Unfortunately for Rangers, it was not the result they'd have ideally been looking for, with a win for Leverkusen - who had gone the season unbeaten until this point - a lot more favourable.
