Rangers have been linked with a summer transfer move for Jose Cordoba.

Is Jose Cordoba a free agent?

No. Cordoba is under contract at Levski Sofia.

The defender's deal at the Bulgarian club runs until June 2025.

That means a transfer fee would have to be paid to sign the player in the summer.

Is Jose Cordoba signing for Rangers?

It's claimed Rangers have a "strong interest" in Cordoba.

Reports in Central America claim the 22-year-old would cost between £2 and £3m should Rangers wish to sign him.

Cordoba has also cropped up as a potential transfer target for Besiktas and French sides - but Rangers reportedly are at the front of the queue.

Journalist Jose Miguel Dominguez Flores said: "The Rangers situation seems impressive to me. They are a team from Scotland who have money, have a project plan and always compete in Uefa Champions League from time to time and if not, they’re in the Europa or Conference League.

"It is positive for him – I hope he sees it."
