Ben Johnson is reportedly set to snub transfer interest from Rangers to remain in the Premier League.
Reports this week claimed talks had been held between Ibrox chiefs and Johnson's representatives.
The full back, 24, is ready to leave West Ham in the summer as hie contract comes to an end.
Johnson is thought to have knocked back new deals under David Moyes with first-team football the priority for the player.
And after making more than 100 appearances for West Ham, Johnson was linked with a move to Ibrox on a free transfer.
Though, there were warnings over interest from English clubs in Johnson with Crystal Palace among the favourites for his signature while English Championship sides were keen on the defender.
Now, though, The Daily Record claim Johnson will 'almost certainly' join Palace and remain in the Premier League.

Johnson is a natural right back but is capable of playing left back too and Rangers are likely to need cover for that position next season with Borna Barisic expected to leave at the end of his current contract.
Johnson was part of the West Ham squad that lifted the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.
While a move for Johnson may be scuppered by Premier League interest, Rangers captain James Tavernier wasted little time on speculation linking him with a move to Saudi to link up with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq.
He said: "It's obviously unbelievable that you have the backing from the manager but I think the speculation has been going on for about a year now.
"It's football, there's always going to be speculation. To have the backing of my manager is really important, but I'm a Rangers player and I'm going to continue working hard for the team.
"You've got to try and push yourself and it's always nice to have that speculation but again, it's only speculation. I'm contracted to Rangers and I'm fully committed to the job in hand."
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
