Rangers have held talks with West Ham full back Ben Johnson over a potential summer move.
The right back is set to leave the Hammers at the end of his contract after more than 100 appearances for his boyhood club but he's turned down a number of new deals - including a six-and-a-half year offer as he goes in search of first team football.
Johnson - who is the cousin of former Tottenham defender Ledley King and ex-Manchester United full back Paul Parker - is allowed to speak to clubs about his future as he enters the final few months of his deal.
The Athletic report he has held talks with Rangers already and could make a bosman switch to Scotland but there is interest from other English teams currently.
Crystal Palace are one of those while there's also English Championship clubs keen to sign him, including Leeds United. A move to Rangers would see Johnson offer competition to captain James Tavernier, while Dujon Sterling is also a natural right back and youngster Adam Devine is still hoping to make his mark at the club.

Tavernier has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia but the Rangers skipper denied any suggestion he would be leaving the club as he revealed earlier this week he was in discussions over a testimonial after spending almost a decade at Ibrox so far.
Philippe Clement will look to strengthen his squad in the summer though and Johnson's experience of more than 100 games for a Premier League side like West Ham, who have also been impressive in Europe, would be a good addition to his squad.
He is a natural right back but is capable of playing left back too and Rangers are likely to need cover for that position next season with Borna Barisic expected to leave at the end of his current contract.
Johnson was part of the West Ham squad that lifted the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.
