Celtic and Rangers are reportedly interested in Standard Liege goalkeeper Arnaud Bodart.

The 26-year-old is expected to leave Belgium this summer despite having one year left on his contract.

Bodart - who played against Rangers in the Europa League in 2020 - is also a reported transfer target for Premier League club Luton Town.

Strasbourg had shown interest in the shot-stopper in January but it is unclear whether the club remains actively keen on a deal in the summer.

However, Voetbal Belgie reports that a 'dream transfer beckons' for Bodart this summer with the goalkeeper ready to leave Standard - where he has played his entire career.

The Belgian outlet claims Rangers are leading the race for the in-demand player with Ibrox chiefs keen to strike a deal at the end of the season.

Standard club chiefs are reportedly intent on demanding a £3.5m transfer fee for Bodart with the player still contracted for another season.

Both Celtic and Rangers could be looking for goalkeeping reinforcements in the summer.

Joe Hart is set to retire from professional football at the end of the season with Benjamin Siegrist and Scott Bain the back-up keepers currently at Parkhead.

Rangers, meanwhile, have No1 Jack Butland on the books with the stopper enjoying an impressive first season at Ibrox.

However, Jon McLaughlin is set to leave the club in the summer with Robby McCrorie the other member of the goalkeeping department.
