Celtic chiefs will reportedly "get tough" should Yang Hyun-Jun be selected for the South Korea under-23 side next month.
The winger is a key player for his country at youth level and is expected to be wanted for national team duty in the Asian qualifying tournament for the Olympics in 2024.
South Korea national team staff are likely to want Yang to join the push to qualify for the Paris Games in the qualifying competition in Qatar in April.
However, the tournament is not within a FIFA international window.
That means Celtic are under no obligation to release Yang from domestic club duty to join his country.
The Scottish Sun reports Celtic officials will "get tough" and refuse to release Yang in order to instead keep him available for the title run-in.
The winger would miss four matches at the minimum if he were to join his national team for the qualifying tournament.

South Korea boss Hwang Sun-hong has conceded he is considering his options with foreign-based players potentially being blocked by their club.
“I will have a final meeting with the staff, but this is a difficult part.
"We need to come up with an alternative. I am also thinking about plan B.”
While Celtic have the right to reject a call-up for Yang next month, should South Korea qualify for the Olympics then the international recognition could not be denied.
That's because the tournament proper - July 24 to August 10 - is listed within the Fifa calendar meaning Yang would have to be released for his national team.
