Kieran Tierney could be an injury doubt for Scotland's upcoming double-header.
The defender was forced off during last night's Basque derby after picking up a knock on 25 minutes.
The Real Sociedad left-back pulled up sharply as he appeared to hold his thigh during the match against Athletic Bilbao.
Scotland face Spain in a crucial Euro 2024 qualifier later this month, and Tierney's fitness will be a real concern for Steve Clarke.
It's said that KT, on loan from Arsenal, could well face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Scotland travel to Spain for the game in Seville on Thursday, October 12.
Tierney is a vital cog in the machine for the national side. The former Celtic ace sets up at left-centre-back, with Andy Robertson deployed in the left-wing-back role.
He played a vital part in Scotland's 2-0 win over Spain back in March this year, which put Clarke's side in pole position to qualify from Group A for the European Championships in Germany next summer.
If Tierney's injury is as bad as has been initially feared, he will also miss the friendly match against France during the next international window.
