Alfredo Morelos has been branded a 'disgrace' following his final season at Rangers.
Chris Sutton has aimed a final dig at the former Gers striker.
The Colombian bowed out of life at Ibrox and Scottish football with a whimper last term, having taken to both by storm in the previous five seasons.
The 27-year-old departed Rangers at the end of his contract in June. He has yet to find a new club and has been training alone this summer to keep up his fitness levels.
El Buffalo's fitness is certainly something that was called into question on a few occasions last year by fans, pundits, and even Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
And Sutton did not hold back when asked for his thoughts on the frontman's efforts last term.
He told the Daily Record: “The big one for Rangers is the striking position because I thought Morelos last season was a disgrace.
“He wasn’t conditioned and it’s interesting he’s on a free and he can’t find a club — although he may have a club I don’t know. There’s a reason for that. You get a bad reputation if you are not conditioned and ready to go.
"It’s sad because he’s clearly a talented player who scored big goals for Rangers over the years, especially in European competition.
"I think Rangers will miss Ryan Kent. His numbers were not what they should have been but Ryan was a talented player.
“Sam Lammers has had a reasonable preseason. Danilo has been in and out of the Feyenoord team and looks a young player who is reasonably talented. It’s how they all fit. It’s how they all gel.”

Meanwhile, he may make his headlines behind the microphone instead of hitting the back of the net these days, yet Sutton still found himself involved in one of Scottish football’s biggest summer deals.
Having been a mainstay of BT Sport’s SPFL coverage, the former Celtic striker has switched allegiance to Sky Sports for the forthcoming Premiership campaign.
Arguably our game’s most prominent pundit of recent times, his arrival is a coup for a broadcaster long accused of not paying Scotland’s game due care and attention.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
