Ronny Deila has been named as the new manager of Club Brugge.
The former Celtic boss takes over in the role from interim boss Rik De Mil and will be in place for the start of next season.
Brugge and Standard Liege agreed a compensation deal to see Deila free to make the switch in Belgium.
Deila began his management career with a brief stint at Norwegian fourth-tier club Brodd before a six-year stay at Strongodset.
From there, he moved to Celtic in 2014 where he would lift three trophies before stepping down at the end of the 2015/16 season.
Deila then joined Valerenga in 2017 and stayed at the club until a huge move to New York City in the MLS in 2020.
He celebrated victories in the MLS Cup and Easter Conference with NYCFC before heading to Belgian in 2022 with Standard Liege.

A Club Brugge statement read: "Ronny Deila will be the new head coach of Blue-Black next season. Standard Liège and Club Brugge on the one hand and Ronny Deila and Club Brugge on the other reached an agreement on this today.
"Club Brugge has its new head coach for next season. Ronny Deila comes over from Standard Liège. With Deila (47), Club brings in a coach who knows what winning trophies is. The Norwegian was 2 times Scottish champion with Celtic Glasgow and 1 time Norwegian Champion with Stromsgodset. With both teams he also won the respective national cups. In 2021, he became champion in the MLS with New York City FC.
"Deila succeeds interim coach Rik De Mil. De Mil can join Deila's technical staff and decide on his future in the coming weeks. Ronny Deila brings assistant Efrain Juarez.
"The former Mexican defender and A-international was also an assistant to Deila at Standard and New York City. Goalkeeping coach Wouter Biebauw, video analyst Matthias Bernaert and the 2 physical coaches Eddie Rob and Carl Vandenbussche remain in the technical staff of the first team. Nicky Hayen and Steve Colpaert will return to Club NXT as agreed, as will coach Hayk Milkon who will return to the U18s.
"The presentation of new coach Ronny Deila will take place on the occasion of the first training session of the new season at the end of June."
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
