CELTIC duo Kyogo and Reo Hatate will not be heading to the World Cup this winter.

In a surprise to many, both Hoops stars have not been included in Japan's 26-man squad for the tournament later this month.

However, it's not all bad news, though, with Diazen Maeda included in the pool of players available to manager Hajime Moriyasu.

Japan will play in Group E in the competition, which also features Spain, Costa Rica and Germany.
