LUCIANO SPALLETTI expects an emotional and highly-charged Ibrox to play a key role during Napoli's Champions League clash with Rangers.

The Serie A giants have arrived in Glasgow in fine form and are firm favourites to secure back-to-back wins in Group A following their victory over Liverpool last week.

The Matchday Two fixture was moved back 24 hours following the death of Her Majesty The Queen and Rangers will pay tribute to the late Monarch by wearing black armbands and holding a minute's silence before kick-off.

It is poised to be a poignant night at Ibrox and Spalletti is well aware of the impact that the support can have as a sold-out crowd gets set to roar on Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side once again.

He said: "Obviously I expect it to be physical, like any other game. But let’s not forget that this is an important event and I send my condolences to the family and to the nation as a whole.

"This game is always going to be a big game, the story and atmosphere and everything that Rangers bring, anything can happen in those 90 minutes.

"If all those things, like the reaction of the physical press that they have got go together, it can make this game much more difficult for us.

"We have got lots of positives to look for in terms of the players that are available and it definitely gives some of the players a chance to show what they have got.

"It was [a] sentimental [draw] for football to have a group with so many great, historical teams in it.

"That doesn’t always happen in this tournament so the chance to go and play in all of these great stadiums is something that I am really looking forward to.

"We know that Rangers can play how they play home and away and they are used to this sort of pressure. This sort of stadium becomes a push, a force of energy to the players.

"I have read players from the past saying that it is impossible to come here and not feel some sort of reaction with the atmosphere. I am sure it will have an amazing reaction for the players."
