DANIEL BACHMANN is reportedly close to sealing a dream move to Manchester United.

The Reds are said to be in talks with Watford to sign the Austria No.1.

Bachmann, 27, was on loan at Kilmarnock just three years ago.

He signed in the summer of August 2018 under Steve Clarke.

He joined on loan from the Hornets in order to gain more first team minutes, but he had to bide his time, with Jamie MacDonald the Ayrshire club's first choice at the time.

The Austrian eventually found himself to be No.1 at Rugby Park - playing a vital role in helping the club to finish third that season.

Since then, Bachmann has experienced Premier League and Championship football with Watford, as he competed with Ben Foster for the gloves.

Now, United are said to be closing in on signing the keeper, with Fabrizio Romano stating that a permanent deal is on the cards.

The transfer guru tweeted: "Manchester United are in talks with Watford to sign Daniel Bachmann as 2/3 goalkeeper. Watford will only consider a permanent deal.
