ROBBIE NEILSON reckons he paid the price for howler from the officials as a 'stonewaller' of a red card was missed during Hearts' draw with Rangers.
The Jambos boss was sent to the stands by referee Don Robertson after voicing his fury at an incident that saw Juninho Bacuna clash with defender Stephen Kingsley.
Neilson hit out at fourth official Euan Anderson for failing to take action against Bacuna after claiming the midfielder grabbed Kingsley by the throat on the touchline.
Robertson issued the Gorgie boss two yellow cards for his protestations and Neilson would miss the late equaliser from Craig Halkett that earned his side a dramatic share of the points.
Rangers spurned a handful of chances as they failed to capitalise on John Lundstram's first half strike and Neilson was frustrated that he was denied the chance to see Halkett's header at the death.
Neilson said: "I thought it was a really good game and I thought we came here and went toe-to-toe with the champions.
"They created chances and we create chances and I was delighted with the players. I thought we showed brilliant character.
"There were periods in the game when we had to fight and there were periods when we were in control as well. We wanted to come here and win but worse case scenario, we take a point.
"I didn't see the goal, no. I just heard the silence, which was nice. I was delighted.
"I was in the tunnel area but right at the back and I wasn't allowed further out.
"I am disappointed that I got that second yellow. I am more disappointed at the fourth official because the boy has grabbed Stephen Kingsley by the throat an that is a red card in anyone’s book.
"So I complained about that and complained again and got a second one. But you come to these places and you are not going to get the decisions. For me that was a stonewaller."
