IANIS HAGI is being tracked by both Lazio and Sevilla, according to the CEO of the Rangers player's famous father Gheorghe Hagi's club in Romania.

The Romanian international has made 44 appearances for Rangers this season and netted seven times for Steven Gerrard's side as they romped to the title.

Hagi, 22, has been linked with a move to European clubs and La Liga giants Sevilla were the latest club to be credited with an interest this week, with long-term admirers Lazio also keeping tabs on him.

Legendary former Real Madrid and Barcelona icon Gheorghe Hagi has consistently stated Hagi is very happy at Rangers and his career has improved hugely from working with Gerrard.

Hagi senior founded Viitorul Constanta 11 years ago and the club are now in the Romanian top flight.

And the club's chief executive, Cristian Bivolaru, was quizzed about the latest speculation on Ianis Hagi this week.

He said: "I don't think the interest of Sevilla for Ianis is new. I think this interest was talked about before he was transferred to Rangers.

"But I do know Lazio are also on this track too. So we will see what will happen in the summer with Ianis."
