RANGERS have confirmed that they will host a virtual AGM next month after posting their accounts to year end June 30.
Figures for RIFC plc show a £15.9million loss as revenue and player costs increased during the last financial period.
Rangers will be unable to stage their AGM in Glasgow as usual due to Coronavirus restrictions but a date for the shareholder summit has now been set.
A Rangers statement read: "Due to the impact of Covid 19 and the Government guidance on guidance on social distancing and prohibiting gatherings, and to protect our staff and shareholders, the Company’s 2020 AGM will require to be a closed meeting.
"This is regrettable, as your Board value the opportunity to interact with shareholders. To allow some interaction, we shall be streaming the event on Tuesday 15 December 2020 from 12 noon and will be answering questions from shareholders.
"To ask a question, please send an email to the following email address: AGMquestions@rangers.co.uk. Questions should be submitted by 11 December 2020.
"The event is restricted to shareholders. Details of how to watch the stream on your laptop, phone or other mobile device will be sent out with the Notice of AGM."
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
