RYAN JACK is relishing the midfield battle with Lewis Ferguson as he looks to inspire Rangers to victory over Aberdeen.

The Scotland star will return to domestic duty with Steven Gerrard's side on Sunday in a hugely significant Premiership clash.

Aberdeen will make the trip to Ibrox in fine form and Ferguson has been integral to the impressive run that the Dons have put together in recent weeks.

Jack said: "I don’t know him personally, but I have played against him enough times. I know what he’s about. He’s a good player.

"Playing at the under-21 level, he’s technically very good, physical and he enjoys the battle, pretty similar to myself.

"He’s gone to Aberdeen and done very well for Derek McInnes. I know Derek praises him highly so I’m looking forward to playing against him on Sunday."
