ALLAN MCGREGOR 7: Did the little he was required to well, quiet day at the office for the keeper but a couple of second-half saves.
JAMES TAVERNIER 7: Brilliant long pass set up Defoe for Rangers’ second in yet another accomplished performance.
CONNOR GOLDSON 6: Dealt well enough with the physical challenge of Emmanuel-Thomas, but a little loose in possession as game wore on.
FILIP HELANDER 7: Like his central defensive partner, dealt with what Livingston threw his way with little trouble.
CALVIN BASSEY 8: Bombed up and down the left-hand side as he backed up his impressive substitute appearance in Belgium on Thursday with another eye-catching display.
RYAN JACK 7: Controlled the game in the middle of the park and tried to make forward passes when he could.
STEVEN DAVIS 7: Worked well alongside Jack, kept things neat and tidy in possession and not giving Livi much of a sniff in the middle of the park.
JOE ARIBO 7: Tucked away opener with ease, but overall play caught the eye as he caused problems for Livi in the number 10 role.
IANIS HAGI 7: Showed great vision to lay on first goal for Aribo and was involved in a lot of good attacking play.
RYAN KENT 5: Moment of slackness almost gave Livi a route back in at 2-0, and had a quiet day overall by his own high standards.
JERMAINE DEFOE 8: Movement an absolute joy to watch and produced a sublime finish to get the 300th goal of his club career.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
