RANGERS have secured an agreement with Australian outfit Crusaders FC as they continue to expand their profile Down Under.

The Light Blues announced on Tuesday that they had put pen-to-paper on a deal with Florida-based Rise FC that will see coaching expertise and ideas shared across the Atlantic.

Crusaders have now been added to the list of clubs that Rangers will work with and coaches will travel to the Gold Coast to deliver sessions when regulations allow.

Players from Crusaders will also head to Glasgow to expand their horizons on and off the park and Gary Gibson, Head of Soccer Academies and International Relations at Ibrox, is delighted with the latest deal.

He said: “The agreement with Crusaders FC is another fantastic step forward to increasing our footprint in Australia. This takes us to three clubs signed up to long term agreements in that region within a few months with other positive discussions taking place.

“We are excited to get the partnership started, which also has a host of commercial benefits to Rangers. We look forward to supporting Glynn and his coaching staff through the Rangers Online Academy where they will gain access to cutting-edge footage of our academy coaches and players.

“When it’s safe to do so we will send Soccer Academy staff over to work with Crusaders FC players and staff on camp and coach education events, but also welcome teams across to Glasgow each year of the partnership which I am sure will be a first-class experience.”
