TWO members of the Czech Republic national team have tested positive for Covid-19 and will not travel to Scotland for Wednesday night's Nations League fixture at Hampden.

Manager Jaroslav Šilhavý and an unnamed player both returned positive tests after returning from Israel and have now entered self-isolation.

The rest of the squad will fly out to Glasgow on Tuesday morning, with four players being called up to the squad to ensure a full compliment of 23 players for the game.

The identity of the four late call-ups is not yet known but will be announced on Tuesday morning, the Czech national association said, adding that assistant manager Jiri Chytry will now take the reins against Scotland.

A statement from the Czech FA read: "The positive news from Monday's Covid-19 retesting is that our main team will travel to Scotland for the UEFA Nations League Match.

"There are only two exceptions as there were two positive tests of one player and also our head coach Jaroslav Silhavy. They are both in quarantine just now.

"Four players will be added to the squad before Tuesday's departure to Scotland from the reserve squad so 23 peole will travel to Scotland. These four players will be revealed on Tuesday morning.

"The assistant Jiri Chytry will lead the team in Wednesday's match."

The latest development is another unfortunate blow for the Czechs, who had to call up an entirely new squad for their Nations League game against Scotland last month after an outbreak of coronavirus in the national team set-up.
