NOTTINGHAM FOREST have sealed the signing of Aberdeen's Scott McKenna.
The Scotland internationalist missed his side's 3-0 defeat to Motherwell at the weekend as the deal was being finalised, with the Dons' 2-0 win over Viking in the Europa League qualifiers his 118th and final appearance for Derek McInnes' side.
The precise fee for the central defender is not known but a statement on the Aberdeen website revealed that the money received is a new record for the Pittodrie club.
Speaking to afc.co.uk, McInnes outlined his belief that McKenna will be a huge success at the City Ground in England's second tier.

βScott is clearly a player who has approached his career to date in the correct manner and quite rightly, he has now got his reward,β he said.
βWe have had the benefit of this in our first team and whilst from a football perspective it is sore to lose a player of his quality, we felt this was the right time for Scott to move on.
βHe has had a real football education at our club and he always approaches his work in a correct and professional manner. Scott is exactly the type of player and person we strive to develop at Aberdeen and is the ideal role model for other young players.
βLike any of the players that leave we always keep an eye on their progress with a sense of pride and Iβve not doubt he will go on to have a great career.β
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. Weβve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who arenβt really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So thatβs why weβve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate β and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about β people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Letβs get that debate started!
