Former Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata has been handed the captain's armband at Hertha Berlin.
The centre-half spent four years at Parkhead and was part of Brendan Rodgers' invincibles side who won 10 trophies during his time as a Celtic player.

Bundesliga outfit Hertha confirmed the Belgian as their new skipper on social media this afternoon. They wrote: "Dedryck #Boyata will lead the team out as captain for the 2020/21 season. Niklas #Stark, Peter #Pekarík, Marvin #Plattenhardt and Mathew #Leckie will make up the team council alongside Dedo."
Serbian striker Vedad Ibisevic had previously worn the band in Berlin before he recently departed to join rivals Schalke at 36-years-old. Boyata played 29 times for Hertha last season in his debut campaign and has been rewarded for consistent form.
