Steve Clarke thinks that Lyndon Dykes can be a valuable asset to the Scotland national team. 

Dykes could have also played for Australia but chose to represent Scotland following conversations with former Kilmarnock manager Clarke. 

Speaking about the call-up to Clyde 1, Clarke said: "I spoke to him before the potential fixtures in March.

"He was very honest, he had the chance to pay for Australia as well." 

The former Livingston man was signed by Queens Park Rangers this summer.

“I hope he’ll bring his talent, his enthusiasm and his ability to bring others into the game. He’s got an eye for goal," Clarke added.

"Thankfully he is named in the squad."
