Celtic register interest in Atletico Madrid starlet Rodrigo Riquelme
CELTIC have registered their interest in Atletico Madrid starlet Rodrigo Riquelme, according to reports in Spain.
The 20-year-old is highly regarded by the Hoops after he impressed for Atletico's development squad last term.
And now reports in Riquelme's homeland have suggested that Celtic have 'knocked on his door' in the view to a possible transfer.
The Spanish youngster is out of contract at the La Liga giants next season, but it is understood that Diego Simeone is keen to offer him a new deal.
Riquelme scored eight goals and assisted seven in 41 games for Atletico's reserves last season.
