RANGERS will decide whether they will make a move for Bongani Zungu over the next two days, according to reports.
It is understood Steven Gerrard's side are weighing-up a long term Ibrox deal for the midfielder after Amiens’ relegation from Ligue 1 in France.
And now The Scottish Sun say the Glasgow club will make a call over the next 48 hours on whether they will sign the 27-year-old.
It has also been reported that Zungu has turned down an offer to play in Spain in a bid to complete a deal with Rangers.
The Ibrox club would have to pay in the region of £3.6million if a deal was to be completed.
Earlier this month Rangers No2 Gary McAllister confirmed the club's interest in the player.
He said: "We know who Zungu is but our recruitment in bringing players to the club is ongoing.
“We’ve been speaking about hordes of players since lockdown.
“We are constantly on the lookout for players who can come into our team and make it better.”
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
