EX-RANGERS midfielder Charlie Adam has told how he is open to a return to Scottish football this summer if the right offer comes his way.

The former Scotland international is currently at Reading, but is out of contract this month.

Adam has opened talks with the Royals regarding a new contract, but he's admitted if the right club came in for him he would consider a move back up north.

Speaking to the Courier, he said: "I'm open to anything.

"We are in talks at Reading and those are ongoing.

"But if the right offer comes along over the summer, of course Scottish football is something I'd be interested in.

"I want to keep playing for as long as I can, but coaching is something I've been thinking about for the future.

"So if a Scottish club came with a player/coach offer, I'd definitely have a look at it."
