RANGERS have confirmed that Andy Halliday, Jon Flanagan and Wes Foderingham will not be given new contracts and will leave the club next month.

A club statement read: "Rangers can confirm that Andy Halliday, Jon Flanagan and Wes Foderingham will depart from Ibrox upon expiry of their permanent contracts.

"Wes Foderingham and Andy Halliday both joined the club in 2015, with the latter fulfilling his boyhood dream of wearing the famous light blue shirt. Both Wes and Andy played a key role in promotion back to the Premiership and reached the Scottish Cup Final in 2016.

"Foderingham made a total of 143 appearances for the Gers, with Halliday totalling 152 and scoring 18 times, including a long range strike v Hibs on his debut.

"England cap, Jon Flanagan joined the club in 2018 from Liverpool and went on to play 39 times in all domestic competitions as well as the Europa League.

"We are grateful for the professionalism, commitment and application of all three players who represented our club with pride and determination.

"Furthermore, we can confirm that Jason Holt, Jordan Rossiter and Jak Alnwick will also leave the club, after being on loan last season.

"We extend our gratitude and best wishes to all departing players."

Gers' director of football Ross Wilon added: "Andy, Wes and Jon have applied themselves excellently during my time here and I wish them nothing but the best in their next chapter. I am sure the fans will join me in thanking them for their contributions to Rangers.”

And boss Steven Gerrard said: “I want to recognise the contribution of the players who are leaving our squad at the end of this season.

“There is a lot more that people contribute to, away from the fixtures each weekend and I commend each of the departing players for what they have given to us day in and day out. Work continues on a daily basis in planning and preparation for next season.”
