RYAN JACK insists the Ibrox squad won't shirk from the challenge of rediscovering their form to keep alive Rangers' silverware ambitions.
Steven Gerrard's side have fallen ten points adrift of Celtic after losing to Hearts and Kilmarnock either side of their draw with Aberdeen.
The Gers have toiled since returning from the winter break but have to pick themselves up sooner rather than later as they prepare for a crucial run of games across three competitions.
Rangers face Livingston at Ibrox this afternoon and Jack said: “Of course there is a frustration and a disappointment. Since day one of pre-season we’ve put the work in only to now get a few bad results and kinda let that go.
"We have to get back to where we were and what we have built ourselves on, what we focused on from day one of pre–season and how we carried ourselves to Christmas. There is no doubt that’s our aim, to get back to that standard.
“As players we’ve always got to be open to discussing things together and being open and honest with each other.
"At a club like this you get pats on the back from thousands when things go well but when things aren’t going well it’s no time to hide and shirk away.
"It’s important that we step up and we have to step up and get a good result.”
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
