ROSS County have announced the signing of former Manchester United winger Chris Eagles.

The 31-year-old has sealed a deal until the end of the season – subject to international clearance – after impressing boss Owen Coyle during a trial stint.

Eagles started his career at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson, making 17 appearances over five years.

He has previous experience of working with Coyle when they linked up at Burnley in 2008.

Now Coyle hopes his Dingwall switch will see wideman Eagles soar again.

He told County’s official website: “I am delighted to sign Chris. He is a player I know well having worked with him previously.

“Chris did well while on trial here and I feel he will be a great addition to the squad. He brings a wealth of experience playing at the top level.”
