SERIAL liar Boris Johnson has announced that he has agreed to a lucrative book deal with Harper Collins Publishers. His memoir will fancifully detail his time at No 10.

Already it has been described as “a memoir like no other.” Yes, and by a liar like no other.

You can expect a book that is abundant in self-serving hyperbole, lies and half truths, rich in misdirection and smoke and mirrors and grandiloquent in its protestations of unfair treatment by the Conservative party, the press and the people. Johnson is, as usual, making filthy lucre out of his infamy and his desire to wreak revenge on those he supposes did him wrong.

READ MORE: Boris Johnson to write memoir about time as prime minister

Ever the vacuous showman, Johnson will conveniently ignore the fact that was completely out of his depth at No 10. He will go down in history as a mendacious and ineffectual prime minister with his poor judgement, many gaffes and U-turns and a failure to acknowledge that words have consequences. His loose tongue and ridiculous incompetence made him the architect of his own misfortune.

I will certainly not be buying his book when it is published.
