RISHI Sunak confirms eight Type 26 Frigates will be built on the Clyde.
This is not new money – these eight are replacing the 13 promised – remember that!
What we are not told is that Ben Wallace the Defence Secretary had to admit last week that the first one is already a year behind schedule and will cost us £233 million more.

Also confirmed was that there will be 20,000 new police in England and Wales, without telling us that 200,000 were cut.

SO PM Rishi Sunak announces that five new warships are to be built on the Clyde. Hardly the Frigate factory on the Clyde that was the only shipbuilding promise from the run-up to the 2014 referendum that floated. Even then it went out on the ebb tide and never came back.
