IF for some crazy reason England wanted to be independent from Scotland do you think it would ask Scotland’s FM for a Section 30 and only proceed when she said aye OK?
Are we too wee, too poor and too stupid? We are not too wee because there are many successful independent democratic countries that are either similar in size or smaller.
Are we too poor? No, we have fantastic natural resources and export achievements. The figures are there for all to see although it is difficult to believe for some as we have a poor state pension in relation to other countries in Europe and we pay significantly higher fuel bills.
Then I come to the too stupid element. Well, I honestly can’t find a reason to discount this one. Why would any sensible person want to be governed by another country with different motives and requirements? Are we happy to let our assets be stolen by a colonial power?
Those we elected to give us independence are wasting time with daft policies but nothing on independence. Come on MSPs and Scottish MPs, get the job done.
