BREXIT cheerleader and political editor of The Sun, Harry Cole, has been hit by a Brexit bust as he reflected on one of the most notorious slogans of the Vote Leave campaign.
As reports of Brexit causing havoc for the UK economy flood the press, it looks like the hellish reality of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU is dawning on even the most ardent Brexiteers, with Cole being no exception.
The Sun editor has previously been seen at events like Brexit: The Movie and tweeted about "Remoan Watch", but has now been shocked to discover some effects of the UK’s departure from the EU which weren’t in his script.
Cole voiced outrage over Brits being charged £68 for a visa to work in Spain for two days.
This is because UK nationals now must apply for a visa if they want to work in the Schengen area for up to 90 days, one of the many ways Britons can enjoy their new sovereignty.
Cole seemed to be perturbed by losing freedom of movement as it wasn’t written on the side of a bus, which is understood to be the best way to communicate to Brexiteers.
He wrote: “68 quid visa to work in Spain for 2 days! Didn't see that on the side of the bleedin' bus.”

Cole was of course referring to the infamous slogan “we send £350 million to the EU a week, let’s fund our NHS instead”.
To be fair to Cole, there might not have been enough room for “but we’ll also lose the right to live and work in 27 other neighbouring countries.”
While it may be too late for Cole, thankfully Scotland still has the chance to rejoin the EU as an independent state with the starting gun fired on next year’s independence referendum.
