I HAVE Just downloaded a copy of the Wee Alba Book which was launched last week. I would commend it to everyone who supports independence, but also to those who are looking for answers to their perfectly valid questions about matters such as borders, currency, pensions and security.

Indeed, I would commend it to opponents of independence who are open-minded enough to engage with these issues, for the tone of the book is discursive and welcoming.

It is well-researched and informative, with references to follow up; and its QR codes lead to videos with further detailed consideration and explanation. I hope that those in the Yes movement who care more about the future of our country than about political point-scoring will read it and use it as a guide and handbook.

I am grateful to contributors for their substantial, timely and positive contribution to the independence debate.
