I HAVE to agree with the views expressed in yesterday's paper by David Pratt, but cannot envisage the current SNP heidyins taking advantage of the situation. They’re too comfortable sitting on their hands to move.

The forthcoming SNP conference will reveal what, if any, action to exploit the situation will be taken. Not much I suspect, a few anodyne resolutions and some pandering to the woke brigade are all that I expect.

Any suggestions for action will be either ignored or promptly squelched and a steady as she goes attitude prevail. No doubt that nice Mr Johnson will eventually give consent to a Section 50 request if we just politely keep asking.

Is that a pig I see flying past?
