WHERE to begin about Murdo Fraser? He tweets on August 28: “Looks like we just got the government we didn’t vote for”.

Many of us Scots feel exactly that after a General Election when Scotland does not get the government it voted for.

It takes the brass neck of a Tory to complain about not getting what you vote for when Murdo Fraser has never been voted into the Scottish Parliament and relies on only his own party for putting him on the list.

I remember Jackson Carlaw wanting to change things to make it that you could only be elected on the list three times – this of course did not come to pass. Murdo has stood at least seven times for Holyrood and has never once been elected by constituents, so you do wonder if he reads what he tweets – or does he, like many other Tories, hope we have short memories and don’t know his history?

I think he comes from the same camp as Annie Wells – prepared to say anything so long as it is “SNP bad”. I only wish his and Annie’s condemnation of sectarianism was as constant and belligerent.
