WHEN Ed Davey tells us that Scotland’s future is for Westminster to decide, I wonder if his political brain considered for even one minute how his declaration negates every tenet of the democracy the UK considers itself to be?

Don’t he and the rest of Westminster’s democracy-deniers consider Scotland’s status to be no more than that of a vassal state under the oppressive former Soviet Union? Is this really the status Scots want to endure?
Well, those vassal states are now happily independent and managing their own affairs. Isn’t it time for Scotland to emerge from under the “jackboot” of Westminster’s democracy-deniers and build a nation where democracy is practised and not just preached?

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
